By Road The route to Budva is a scenic one, with stunning views on the long curving roads that end with spectacular views of the coastline.
Two-lane motorways connect Budva to the interiors of Montenegro. Podgorica, located about 60 km away, is the chief road junction in Montenegro. It is connected to Budva by two routes. One route is through the new Sozina tunnel and the other through Cetinje. The other Montenegrin coastal towns are connected to Budva through the Adriatic Motorway, which runs from Ulcinj in the south to Herceg-Novi, and goes on to Croatia.
It is wise to stick to the speed limit of 70 km/hr (43 mph), which is both safe and legal.
